Greetings Everyone,

I want to share with you an opportunity that is coming up on Saturday morning of March 5th .  This event is our annual district leadership conference, and it will be held at Tri-Lakes UMC which is not  far away; south on 83 to the El Paso county line and then west & south about one mile.   The keynote speaker is Rev. Dr. Janet Forbes (senior pastor of St. Luke’s UMC) with a message on “Moving Beyond the Walls of the Church”.  There will also be five workshops offered in which you can participate in two of them: Fresh Expressions of Faith; Ministry with Young People; Ministry to Military Members; Disability and Inclusion; and General Conference 2016 (discussing the important issues coming before the delegates).

Included in the morning activities is celebration of the Quiet Disciples from our 40 plus Mile High / Pikes Peak District churches, a short business meeting, and time to meet and fellowship with church members from around the district.  Our district includes churches from southern Denver metropolitan area to the southern area of Colorado Springs, east to Simla, Rush and Ellicott, and west to Breckenridge, Central City, and Woodland Park.  Our Parker church will be paying the registration cost.

I encourage you to go and see what our UMC is doing in this area of God’s Kingdom!
