This Friday! Feed My Starving Children

An amazing LOCAL mission opportunity awaits you.  ALL YOUTH are participating in the Feed My Starving Children Packaging from 4-6 this Friday!  Please arrive at the Fellowship Hall around 3:45 if you can. INSTEAD OF FOOTBALL – afterwards, (those who want to) can all go grab a bite (bring some money) at either Culver’s or Village Inn (depending on transportation). Students can call parents for pick up from our dinner location.

  Parker Task Force!

Can you help? The PUMC Youth Group is filling all time slots of the “Special Parker Task Force Food Collection Day” on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Walmart Location.  We have 4 shifts and, we are in need of a few adult volunteers to help cover some shifts.  So, if you can come with your child, (or your spouse and support and get to know the youth), that would be great!  We also need to know WHO are available for what shifts.  Shifts include 8-10, 10-12, 12-2, 2-4.  Please email me:  [email protected] and let me know when you/your children are available!

Youth to Offer a Welcome Home Breakfast

The youth group will be offering a “Welcome Home Breakfast” to our college age youth and their families at 10:30 AM (after the 9:30 service) on Dec. 18.  This is a wonderful mission that our youth will benefit from in their own future!  Please arrive at 9:30 in the kitchen area for your assignment.  Plan to be at youth group in coming weeks to help make decorations and also try to be here to serve on that Sunday morning!

Winter Retreat 

Mark your calendars!  February 10-12.  We are going to a CONFIDENTIAL location, as contracts are still being negotiated!  Watch for registration information beginning in mid to late November. Put it on your calendar in PEN, as you will want to attend this outing for sure!

Confirmation Classes Beginning January 29

Starting this year, classes will be offered for students in grades 7-10.  If this year does not work for you, you can always come the next year.  Classes will be Sunday mornings at 11 AM in the Youth Room. Classes will run from Jan. 29 – April 30, with a couple of Sundays off for holidays and spring break. Please sign up for classes by sending your (your child’s) name, parents’ names, address, a good email, a contact phone number and grade to April Kauffman at [email protected]
