 Junior High meet at the church at 5:00, Snack Supper at 6:00 ;Senior High have Snack Supper at 6 and then meet at 6:30

SATURDAY APRIL 16 – PARKER TASK FORCE FOOD DONATION DAY!

We are helping the PTF collect food donations at the Parker Safeway Saturday, April 16.  We have two time slots to fill: 8-10 & 10-12.  I’m providing donuts and juice/water for those who can come from 8-10.  If you can make the 10-12, bring some money and we’ll go to Subway afterwards for lunch and fellowship!

16 YEAR OLD FINLAND BOY NEEDS HOST FAMILIES

The Rotary Club of Parker is sponsoring, for a school year, a fine 16 year old male from Finland who will be attending Ponderosa High School as a junior.  Three host families are needed to care for him during the period from about August 5 – June 30 at about 3.5 months each.  It is not necessary for a host family to have children at home, however children present will benefit this youth.  If you’re interested please write or call Mike Oldham of our church at [email protected] or call 303-453-9067 and he will provide you with more details.

SENIOR HIGH LOCK OUT

Put it on your calendar! April 29-30.  We are spending a night out!  Between movies, bowling, food and fun we will also be serving the community workers who work through the night.  We have partnered with the Parker Police to provide “lunch at 3 AM” for the police and DougCo Sheriffs who work through the night.  Providing food from our church parking lot will be an extra special treat for the police (and I think our youth as well)!  HEY PARENTS – feel like chaperoning?  Quit laughing – I’ll need a few extra hands on deck if you are a night owl – shoot me an email.  [email protected]

GREETERS NEEDED

Volunteers for 1 church service, once per month, greet for 20 minutes.  We  have a few openings for the 8 and 9:30 services.  Even substitutes would be great.  Anyone interested, please contact Jamalyn Ackley: [email protected] (preferred) or  303-570-1745.

No Sunday School, we are helping UMM serve breakfast to Moms of the church!

ALL YOUTH – FISHING, HIKING, PICNIC DAY! Put it on the calendar.  Time and Location TBD

YOUTH LED WORSHIP SERVICE

Stay on top of communication.  We’ll be talking about this during Youth Group and Sunday School.  I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead our church in worship on Sunday, the 12th.  We need all of the youth to participate – as this is WHO WE ARE!
